여러분은 혹시 '플라스틱'의 주성분을 알고 계시나요?


우리가 일상생활에서 아무렇지 않게 쓰고 버리는 일회용기, 사무용품, 휴대폰 등 어느곳에서나 눈을 돌리면 보이는 플라스틱은 사실 아주 많은 성분으로 이루어져 있습니다. PVC, Nylon, PET, PE, PP, PS 등 다양한 플라스틱들이 우리의 삶에 녹아들어 있죠 하지만 이 플라스틱들, 사용후에 어떻게 처리되는지는 생각해보셨나요? 환경에 관심을 조금이라도 가지고 계신 분들이라면 아마 후처리과정에 있어 환경오염을 대비해 일회용기나 플라스틱 제품의 사용을 줄이려는 노력을 하고 계실거라 생각합니다.


플라스틱은 자연적분해가 쉽지 않아 환경오염의 주범이 되고, 바다로 소각장으로 버려져 바다에서는 미세플라스틱 흩어져 나가게 되고 바다생물들이 흡수한 미세플라스틱은 분해되지 않은 채 우리 식탁에 오르게 됩니다.


또한 최근 코로나 바이러스로 인해 마스크 사용량이 대폭 증가하면서 미세플라스틱의 양을 기하급수적으로 늘리고 있습니다. 더욱이, 이런 상황에 국가간 폐플라스틱의 수출/수입을 하지 않는 것에 대한 국가간의 협약에 따라 우리나라는 '쓰레기 대란' 위기가 찾아왔고, 더욱 심각한 상황에 이르게 되었습니다.


그래서 우리는 이 문제를 어떻게 해결해 나가야할지 고민해 왔고, 사소한 것부터 우리가 먼저 줄여나가자는 마인드로 회사 내에서 플라스틱 컵 하루 1개 사용, 사용 후에는 깨끗하게 씻어서 분리배출 하기, 일회용기 쓰는것 줄이기 등 환경문제를 심각하게 이야기 하고 있습니다. 또한, 이를 넘어서 폐플라스틱으로 열분해유를 얻어내어 플라스틱의 폐기량을 줄이기위해 폐플라스틱 열분해유 사업 추진중에 있습니다.


자사에서 취급하는 제품들은 모두 친환경적인 제품들로 우리의 목표는 무역과 수출로서의 성장이 아닌 친환경적인 회사로서 사회에 기여하기 위함입니다. 당사는 앞으로도 계속하여 환경오염과 이산화탄소 절감에 대해 연구하고 실천해 갈 것입니다.

Do you know the main components of plastic?
From disposable containers and office supplies to mobile phones—plastics are everywhere in our daily lives. They are made from a variety of materials such as PVC, nylon, PET, PE, PP, and PS, each deeply embedded in our modern lifestyle.
But have you ever considered what happens to these plastics after we use them?
Those who are environmentally conscious may already be making efforts to reduce the use of single-use containers and plastic products in order to minimize environmental pollution.


Plastics are notoriously difficult to biodegrade and have become one of the leading causes of environmental pollution. When discarded—whether incinerated or ending up in the ocean—they break down into microplastics. These microplastics are absorbed by marine life and eventually make their way back to our dining tables, remaining undegraded in our food chain.


The situation has worsened in recent years with the surge in mask usage due to COVID-19, dramatically increasing the amount of microplastics in circulation. Furthermore, international agreements restricting the export and import of waste plastics have led to a “waste crisis” in Korea, bringing the issue to an even more critical stage.


In response, we have been reflecting on how to address this challenge. Starting with small but meaningful actions in our own workplace, we encourage each other to use only one plastic cup per day, wash it thoroughly before recycling, and reduce the use of disposable containers. Beyond these efforts, we are advancing a waste plastic pyrolysis oil business, which converts waste plastics into fuel, thereby reducing plastic waste at its source.


All of our products are eco-friendly, and our mission is not simply to grow through trade and export, but to contribute to society as a truly environmentally responsible company. We will continue to research, develop, and act toward reducing environmental pollution and lowering CO₂ emissions.
